The Body
Unlike most electric guitars, A.D.G’s design has a solid back: which means that there are no holes or chambers that pass through the entire body. All of the hardware, potiemeters, and wiring are located under the face of the body, which adds to the guitars unique sound and endless sustain. The body of Andreas Dawn guitar is made from three pieces of wood, the center piece being from the same tree as the neck. This original design, known as the “new neck through” helps link the body’s sustain and tonal quality to the rest of the guitar. What the players hear is a poly-harmonic sustain that has an uninterrupted flow throughout the entire guitar.
The Neck
The neck of an Andreas Dawn guitar is two slats of the same piece of wood. By sawing a single piece of wood in half, and reversing the slats so that the grain runs into each other, the neck becomes twice as strong as a neck made from single piece of wood. Also, the neck and headstock of an Andreas Dawn guitar are one piece, which enables the sound to travel up the guitar uninterrupted.
The Hardware
Andreas Dawn guitars come standard with three custom wound and wired single coil pickups, Gotoh tuners, and an original designed bridge. Other custom pickup and hardware options are available on request.
